2006 Bar Exams Results

And so it is – 30.6% is the magic rate. April 3, 2007 marks the release of the much-awaited (as always) bar exams results. Out of 6, 187 bar examinees last September of 2006, only a total of 1, 893 successfully hurdled the bar exams chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Angelina Sandoval-Gutierrez.

And of course many would like to know who were the top performers. The following made it to the top 10, to wit:

1) Noel Neil Q. Malimba (University of Cordilleras formerly Baguio Colleges Foundation) – 87.60 %;

2) Deborah S. Acosta (UP) – 87.40 %;

Ricardo M. Pilares III (ADMU) – 87.40 %;

3) Erika Ana Andrea C. Jimenez (ADMU) – 86.60 %;

4) Maria Charizza B. Carlos (ADMU) 86.10 %;

5) Gina Lyn R. Rubio (FEU) – 85.75 %;

6) Anjuli Larla A. Tan (Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation) – 85.70 %;

7) Karen H. Gaviola (University of San Carlos) – 85.68 %;

8) Al-shwaid L. Ismael (University of Cebu) 85.65 %;

9) Timothy Joseph M. Mendoza (UP) – 85.55 %; and

10) Alain Charles J. Veloso (UP) – 85.50 %.

Oathtaking of the successful bar examinees is set at 3 p.m. on April 25 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
